Funnel benchmark examples help locate the stage where a lead generation system is weak.

Example: A landing page gets 10,000 visits and 600 leads, so visitor-to-lead conversion is 6%. If 90 leads become qualified opportunities, lead-to-opportunity conversion is 15%. If 18 become customers, opportunity-to-sale conversion is 20%.

Another campaign may have a lower visitor-to-lead rate but a higher lead-to-sale rate because the offer attracts fewer but better-fit prospects.
